One of Chicago’s favorite and most versatile talents, Marianne Murphy Orland has performed as a Cabaret Artist, Big Band and Pop Singer, Actor, Director and Voice talent both locally and nationally since you were in short pants.

Marianne is a long-time lead singer with local society orchestras, show and dance bands including the Dan Hayes Orchestra, Nightshift, The Gold Coast Orchestra, Spectrum and Frat Boys & Future Stewardesses. Howard Reich, Chicago Tribune’s Arts Critic said “Marianne tends to convey sunshine in everything she sings…”

Recent sold out performances and coming attractions at notable local venues like Drury Lane Water Tower Place, The Empire Room, Skokie Theatre and Davenport’s Cabaret include: “Pet Project: The Remarkable Petula Clark”, If I Were a Carpenter: The Life & Music of Karen Carpenter”, “Miss-Cast: Four Women in Search of a Musical (to be reprised at Davenport’s May 14 & 15)”, “Girls Like Us: Carole King, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell”, “Some Enchanted Cabaret, the Music of Rogers, Hammerstein and Hart”, and “Puttin’ on the Ritz with Irving Berlin”.
